How Did I Do?

Was I humbly grateful or grumbly hateful?

Were my words and actions kind?

Did I follow through on things to which I committed myself?

Home and Hearth

Did I have a plan for regular cleaning and maintaining our home?

Did the bed get made every day?

Was there any kind of hoarding or cluttering here at the home front?

Did I devise and implement a strategy to regularly dispose of unwanted stuff?

Were meals and snacks well planned so as to not waste a lot of food?

Was I hospitable?

How were my eating habits this year?

Did I do some type of exercise on a regular basis?

Did I drink enough water?

Did I go to bed early enough most nights?

Did I forgive easily and quickly?

Did I jump to conclusions without all the facts on a regular basis?

Am I approachable?

Am I teachable?

Did I encourage others to use their skills and talents?

Money, Money, Money, Money….Money

Were my dollars well allocated?

Was I intentional in discretionary purchases?

Did MOMD (Man Of My Dreams) and I have ongoing open communication about our resources?

Did we set aside money for activities or vacations?

Did I do things I enjoy?

Did I build solitude into my life?

How well did I maintain boundaries I established in my life?

Did I learn new skills?

How did I give back to my community?

Did I invest time and/or other resources to strengthen my community?

Time Management (Occasionally Mismanagement)

Were my activities and commitments things I wanted to do or did I say yes because of a sense of obligation?

Did I over commit?

Was I realistic when planning the amount of time necessary to host an event?

Did I delegate or ask for help when I needed it or did I portray the martyr syndrome?

These were a few of the questions that I’ve been asking myself as I plan for 2015.  I did pretty well in some areas in 2014.  In other areas? Well, let’s just say that there is always room for improvement!

I want to thank you for reading, and even commenting on occasion.

What questions should be added?

Happy New Year!

Sweet Cindi – You have been exceptional since the day I met you (a couple of years ago). You inspire me “Lady Labadie”,. many blessings to you and the family. I love ya darling. Happy 2015!

Cath, It was just a couple of years ago that we met wasn’t it? Your words to me are so very encouraging. Many blessings to you as well. Time to get some rest since you made it through yet another retail season! You’ve earned a good southern vacation for all your work. 🙂

Ah, Claire! The ultimate question for sure and one we should (in my opinion) be asking of ourselves in every situation. Thank you for the reminder!
