Remember To Say It

Who needs to hear that you love her?

Have you forgiven someone but not told him or her?

I’ve read or heard so many people say, “If I only had one more day with so and so I tell him I love him”.

We don’t get do overs with people that have passed away. We must move on and forgive ourselves if need be.

Good news, though! There are plenty of people alive on planet Earth. Surely there is someone who needs to hear a word of encouragement.

Maybe it would be awkward to call or visit the person. A card or brief note would certainly be appreciated. Besides, it can be read over and over by the recipient.

I wrote my mom a letter when I was a teenager apologizing for my crappy attitude.  I told her I loved her and asked her to forgive me.  It wasn’t until decades later that she told me she kept it and occasionally reread it.  That letter was in her purse when she died.

My point in all of this is to remind ALL of us that there are always opportunities to make someone’s day.

Does anyone come to mind?

No truer words were ever spoken (or written) Cindi. I follow your advice everyday. Love ya darling! Though I never remember you having a “crappy attitude”… ever! Hugs to you and the family.
